Swan Lake Room
I love working with glass. The beauty of Stained Glass is it, allows light to manifest color. It is very similar to the sound of the ocean or watching a fire, as it is very relaxing to look at..
I have been working with stained glass for 32 years. I started working with fused glass about 6 years ago. The Fused glass is a nice addition to my stained glass. I enjoy the challenge of new and larger projects.
For the Companion Program i will go through some of the basic techniques of stained glass, by creating a small project, which will take us through the steps of, cutting, grinding, wrapping, and soldering glass.

He has starred in his own one hour special for the Comedy Network titled "Stand up Safari"
filmed in South Africa.
He has opened for the likes of: Rich Little, Blue Rodeo, Wide Mouth Mason and Tom Cochrane

Casino Royale
MISA 2010 will hold a Casino Royale following Johnny Bagpipes. This event will be held in the Kalamalka Lake room at the Wesbild Centre from 9pm to 1am. Each delegate/companion will be provided with 10 poker chips to start their fun filled evening. Additional chips will be available for purchase through out the evening. Come and enjoy an evening at the Blackjack table, try your hand at Roulette, play the Crown & Anchor Wheel or try to beat the dealer at Texas Hold-Em. Proceeds from the Casino will go to the charity of Choice - Vernon Jubilee Hospital Tower of Care. Door prizes will be randomly selected during the event.
You will also have the opportunity to play Mario Kart on one of the 2 Wii's that will be raffled off at the end of the convention. Tickets for the Wii raffle will be available throughout the conference for 3 for $10 or $5 each - proceeds will go to the charity of choice - Vernon Jubilee Hospital Tower of Care. It promises to be an evening of fun and laughter. |
